Conference on Fictitious Economy, Cheng Siwei Award Ceremony Held
The 11th National Conference on Fictitious Economy and Cheng Siwei Global Award Presentation Ceremony took place in Beijing on Dec.18, with many well-known experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and students from the fields of fictitious economy, capital market and finance attending the meeting offline and online.
This year's Cheng Siwei Global Award was presented to excellent research achievements in the field of fictitious economy, and encourages domestic and foreign scholars to further study the relevant theories, so as to promote China's financial practice, said Chen Changzhi, chairman of the Global Award Committee of Cheng Siwei.
Chen announced the award results of the second Cheng Siwei Global Award • fictitious economy research international award, including the winner of the Nobel Prize in economics Robert Engle, Professor of New York University, whose achievement is SRISK: conditional capital gap measurement method of systemic risk.
The domestic award was presented to the personal credit rating system of the People's Bank of China developed by Professor Shi Yong, counselor of the State Council and director of the Fictitious Economy and Data Science Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Professor Engel expressed gratitude on winning the Cheng Siwei's Global Award through video and delivered a speech on financial instability in the era of climate change.
Professor Shi Yong delivered a speech on the development of China's digital economy.
The conference broadcast an internal exchange report on Gu Shengzu, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic National Construction Association, correctly understanding the role of fictitious economy in China's economic development.
The report affirmed the national fictitious economy seminar and Cheng Siwei Global Award, and reviewed Cheng Siwei's contribution to the development of fictitious economy.
The paper deeply analyzes the relationship between the development of virtual economy and the prevention of financial risks, and hopes that the teachers and students attending the meeting, based on the dynamic relationship between China and the world, will provide a theoretical basis for the healthy, balanced and stable development of China's economy.
Tang Min, counselor of the State Council and vice-president of Youcheng Foundation, delivered a speech on "Fictitious economy under big data: how to invest and finance small and micro enterprises".
Professor Wang Shouyang, director of the Center for Forecasting Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences and academician of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries, presented a report on bitcoin and China's carbon emissions. The study constructs the carbon emission model of bitcoin in China measurement model proposes that in the future, guiding the rational layout of bitcoin mining pools and the transformation of industrial energy consumption structure will have better emission reduction effect at the policy level.
The National Conference on Fictitious Economy is held every two years. Eleven sessions have been successfully held since 2000. The conference aims to create a platform for achievement display and academic exchange for the frontier theoretical research of China's fictitious economy, so as to further promote the theoretical innovation of fictitious economy research, and make suggestions for national and local governments at all levels.
The original intention of Cheng Siwei fund and the establishment of Cheng Siwei Global Award, which aims to support the theoretical research and policy promotion of economic management innovation such as education and scientific research, venture capital, fictitious economy and virtual business. Once every two years, the prize will be 800,000 yuan ($125,566), and one international and one domestic excellent achievement will be selected.
