China Significantly Expands the Pilot of Digital RMB
City Bank Clearing and Agricultural Bank Clearing both announced the successful launch of the "One Point Access" digital RMB system, which means more city commercial banks, rural commercial banks and rural financial institutions will be connected to the digital RMB interoperability platform.
As of June 30, the number of invited whitelist users for the digital RMB pilot has exceeded 10 million, with 20.87 million personal wallets and 3.51 million public wallets opened, and a cumulative total of 70.75 million transactions and 34.5 billion RMB.
