Sber presents digital signage platform Salute Screens
Salute Screens is useful in retail, service sector, HoReCa, education, healthcare, and other areas as it helps highlight special offers, target the content, collect statistics and analyze the customer journey.
Salute Screens can be integrated with Sber TVs and smart screens with the SberPortal touch interface; with own screens connected to SberBox media streamer or SberBox Top TV media center with custom firmware upgrade; or with professional dashboards and devices powered by Windows, MacOS, iOS, WebOS, and Tizen.
Salute Screens has already been piloted on the screens in Sber’s three new offices and 180 SberMegaMarket pick-up points, enabling less than 24-hour time-to-screen for promo campaigns and options to tailor content selection to each location, while the analytics will drive future surface monetization.
Denis Filippov, CEO, SberDevices, vice president for Salute digital surfaces, Sberbank:
“People respond to visual information much faster than to any other type of information. That’s why carefully selected and relevant content can be a strong enabler for any business. Salute Screens are an advanced, high-tech tool for small and medium enterprises with a quick and affordable implementation making media content management easier and more effective. This turn-key solution is powered by Russia-developed software with video analytics providing more business growth opportunities.”
No flash drive or manual control, available on any screen
Salute Screens sets businesses free of flash drives or third-party video hosting services for uploading media content to the screens, allowing users to instantly update and configure the video clips and images that appear on-screen driven by the screen’s location, and mitigate risks related to content posting and control. You can upload materials and create promotional campaigns, remotely manage runs, and monitor devices from a user-friendly personal account in a web-based interface. Continuous internet connection is not required: the information may be updated at a time convenient for the location, e.g., at night.
Salute Screens can be integrated with the client’s information systems to configure materials runs in real time according to a pre-set scenario. For instance, integration with a goods accounting system allows for running demos of goods that have to be sold out on cashier area screens. The service includes end-to-end project support, warranty onsite service maintenance, 24/7 online helpdesk.
Video analytics and personalized scenarios
In its extended version, Salute Screens includes video analytics powered by Sber smart camera devices (SberPortal and SberBox Top) or compatible client devices. The video analytics module detects the sex and age of persons standing in front of the camera, records the audience profile and viewer engagement. Data collection is depersonalized, and the data can later be used to assess marketing campaign effectiveness depending on the geography, which is especially relevant for large businesses. For instance, in cafes, the screens may show ongoing promos for young people who can produce a student ID.
Smart cameras also enable implementation of interactive scenarios, e.g., when a person’s face is captured by the screen’s camera in a retail store, a “Smile to get a promo code/gift!” message can appear on the screen.
These scenarios can be run on touch screen devices too: touch interaction facilitates customer “feedback (“What would you like to improve/add?”, “Please rate the customer service level”, etc.).
Customized solutions
SberDevices’ Visper is an additional tool to create on-screen content enabling video clip generation featuring photorealistic and animated characters and thus reducing information and promotional materials costs: just select your character and write a script for it.
You can also request to create your own character and customize scenarios for interaction with the audience via screens equipped with smart cameras. These avatars can process user requests in real time, generate responses drawing on a pre-defined knowledge base, recognize users, and answer their off-topic small talk questions.
