AtlasMara Bank, which has the widest distribution network of branches in the Eastern Province has launched a partnership with Eastern Water and Sanitation Company Limited to digitise bill collections using the Atlasmara Tenga Mobile Wallet and Atlas Mara Mobile Banking platforms.
The collaboration, signed on the sidelines of the 2023 Ncwala Traditional ceremony of the Ngoni, is aimed at improving service delivery and access to clean and reliable water supply in Eastern Province.
“To our current and potential Atlasmara customers in Chipata, Lundazi, Lumezi, Katete, Chama, Petauke, Sinda, Chadiza, and Nyimba, this is yet another option through which you can easily and securely pay your water and sanitation bills at your convenience 24/7, ” Atlas Mara Bank chief executive officer Bobbline Cheembela said in Chipata last Friday.
Atlas Mara Bank has 50 branches,116 Automated Teller Machines and over 3, 000 Tenga Express agency outlets spread across the 10 provinces of the country.
“Let me also make mention that we have over 1.2 million customers on the Tenga Mobile wallet across the country with over 4,000 customers in Eastern Province, which is a demonstration of the faith and trust that our customers have in the bank,” Mr Cheembela said.
He said Atlasmara Bank has also collaborated with other organisations to achieve common goals and provide more comprehensive services to its customers.
“To mention but just a few, we have partnerships with organisations such as Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company, ZESCO Limited, DSTV, GOTV, TOPSTAR, RTSA, and mobile network companies for the facilitation of bill payments and airtime and bundle purchases,” he said.
AtlasMara also has an innovative School Pay platform which has made life much easier for the Examination Council of Zambia, many schools, universities and colleges to provide a secure and efficient platform for parents to pay school and exam fees.
“So, I would like to use this opportunity to encourage other organisations to partner with Atlas Mara to achieve this commonality,” Mr Chembela said
