China Development Forum 2023 attracts top global companies
The China Development Forum 2023 will be held offline for the first time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, in Beijing from March 25 to 27, under the theme of "Economic Recovery: Opportunities and Cooperation", the organizers announced on Monday.
Zhang Laiming, vice-president of the Development Research Center of the State Council, the host of the event, said the CDF 2023 is expected to provide positive factors to enhance the consensus of international community and promote the world economic recovery.
So far, more than 100 overseas participants have confirmed their participation, with multinational companies ranging from energy and mining, finance and insurance, and information communication equipment to manufacturing and biopharmaceuticals.
The agenda of the forum has considered the special features of the participating companies' industries and their concerns, while also paying attention to promoting China's economic policies and development opportunities for foreign investors, he said.
The forum also provides a channel for participants to communicate with the Chinese government, he said, adding there will be more than 30 high-rank officials from various government departments and more than 20 executives of centrally State-owned enterprises and financial institutions at the event.
Fang Jin, senior research fellow of the DRC and secretary-general of the China Development Research Foundation, said chairmen or CEOs of many world-leading manufacturing enterprises or Global Fortune 500 companies, as well as many reputed scholars and leaders of international organizations will attend the event.
Big foreign companies are very enthusiastic to participate in the event, he said, adding this year will see quite a few enterprises participating in the forum for the first time.
The forum is hosted by the DRC and organized by the foundation.
