SZSE Briefings on Performance Underway: To Improve the Quality of Listed Companies Centering Around Six Themes
The bridge connects people and makes communication easier.
SZSE has always been attaching great importance to guiding listed companies to strengthen the communication with investors by promoting the briefings on performance as the bridge that connect listed companies and investors to play a greater role. Recently, SZSE has earnestly implemented the work plans of CSRC. Centering around serving national strategies and the main theme of “Focus on High Quality, Guiding New Development”, SZSE has taken a combination of measures to support the SZSE-listed companies holding 2022 briefings on performance and guide listed companies to optimize their long-term interaction mechanisms with investors so as to showcase their new achievements and new looks in all respects and from multiple dimensions, further improve their levels of corporate governance, and realize high-quality development.
Specifying regulatory requirements and strengthening mobilization and guidance.
To improve the quality of briefings on performance, SZSE has revised the self-discipline regulation guide, laying down the requirements of relevant work before, during and after the briefings. Besides, SZSE held a training session, which explained the rules and notes about the briefings on performance and invited excellent listed companies to share their experiences. In addition, SZSE issued a special notice, requiring the CSI 300 companies, the “A + H” listed companies, the central SOE-controlled listed companies and the ChiNext listed companies to hold briefings on performance, and encouraged other companies to follow their practices.
Focusing on improving quality and effectiveness and enriching the forms of the event.
Since late April, with “Focus on High Quality to Guide New Development” as the main theme and centering around the six themes of “New Achievements in Advanced Manufacturing” “New Breakthroughs in Digital Economy” “New Phases of Low Carbon Actions” “New Looks of Local SOEs” “New Development Opportunities for POEs” and “New Effect in Reform of Central SOEs”, SZSE has invited some representative companies to hold group briefings on performance in the Listing Hall of SZSE to showcase their performance results, business conditions and development strategies and respond to the latest investor concerns. Meanwhile, SZSE has encouraged companies to make full use of digital technology to interact with investors by video live streaming, conference call, picture-text, etc. and display their operating results with visual annual reports, cloud tours, etc.
Giving play to platform functions and optimizing supporting services.
To improve the effectiveness of communication between listed companies and investors, SZSE has provided venues for holding briefings on performance to listed companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, etc. to support direct efficient interaction and communication between the two parties. Moreover, to further facilitate communication, SZSE has optimized the “Cloud Interview” program on the Easy IR platform. The program now provides the listed companies with free interaction channels open to all investors, including collecting investors’ questions, communicating with investors via image and text online, playing videos and PowerPoint, rebroadcasting videos synchronously, etc.
On April 26, SZSE will hold the first group briefings on performance, which was themed by “New Achievements in Advanced Manufacturing”, at the Listing Hall. Listed companies including Crystal-Optech, Tinci Materials, Kedali and Hunan Yuneng were invited to the event to haved face-to-face communication with investors. In the next two weeks, a group of enterprises in the advanced manufacturing field including CCHN, State Power Rixin, Han’s CNC, Huitian New Material, Rijiu Optoelectronics, Yuxing and Mehow will also hold the briefings on performance (the arrangement is subject to further notice). The core members of companies such as Chairman, General Manager, CFO, Board Secretary, Independent Director, etc. will brief their companies’ results, answer investors’ questions, listen to investors’ advice, and help investors gain a deeper understanding of their companies.
As companies successively release their annual reports during this time of year, briefings on performance will come to their peak season. SZSE encourages listed companies to actively hold briefings on performance to showcase their business conditions, profitability and performance results in more vivid and direct forms so as to improve the effect of interaction. That will help enhance investors’ sense of identity with listed companies’ corporate values and development ideas. We support investors proactively exercising shareholders’ rights, airing opinions and giving advice. We call on listed companies to jointly build the briefings on performance into a broader, smoother communication bridge to form a sound market ecosystem that will help improve the quality of listed companies.
