Beijing Delegation to Undertake Overseas Travel to Attract Foreign Investment
Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) released its upcoming investment promotion projects.
The 2023 Exhibition of ZGC Forum (China Beijing International High-Tech Expo) is scheduled to be held by CCPIT Beijing from May 26 to 30. This significant platform for international exchanges will focus on science, technology and innovation, and aims to gather cutting-edge sci-tech innovation elements around the globe. The event will host various activities ranging from displays, exhibitions, promotion conferences, and negotiations, with the objective of promoting exchanges and cooperation among high-tech enterprises and effectively supporting Beijing to become an international center for scientific and technological innovation.
In early June, the economic and trade delegation of Beijing will leave for Argentina and Chile with the objective of conducting international economic and trade cooperation while also exploring investment opportunities. The delegation will engage with various entities such as trade and investment promotion agencies, business associations, and enterprises of the two countries. The delegation will organize two Beijing International Economic and Trade Promotion Fairs in Buenos Aires and Santiago, the capitals of the two countries, respectively, aimed at fostering in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the nations.
In the middle of October, a delegation of relevant enterprises will travel to China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) for the 28th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair. The primary objective of the delegation is to enhance industrial cooperation between Beijing and the SAR, in line with the focus of their economic and trade partnership in 2023. Furthermore, it strives to expand economic and trade collaboration with Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.
In early November, the 16th China-LAC Business Summit will take place in Beijing. The summit will carry out a set of themed forums focused on the digital economy, agricultural product cooperation, cultural tourism, and green economy. Additionally, there will be supporting activities, including the Roundtable Conference of the China-LAC Trade Promotion Organizations, the China-LAC Enterprise Matchmaking Fair, and the High-quality Exhibition for China-LAC Enterprises to expand the scale and optimize the structure of China-LAC trade.
To date, CCPIT Beijing has established a network of overseas cooperation with 224 relevant institutions and international business associations across 92 countries and regions. In 2023, Beijing will orderly arrange overseas delegations, foreign chambers of commerce in Beijing, trade and investment promotion departments of the foreign embassies in China, and major foreign-funded enterprises to visit key industrial parks established for the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone ("Two Zones" for short) in Beijing. It will help them have a deeper understanding of Beijing and encourage investment in the region. In the future, Beijing will highlight the exchanges with BRI participating countries and regions as well as the members of the RCEP to broaden channels for international exchanges and cooperation and promote investment in Beijing.
