Ningbo Hosts 2023 Meeting of China Council for China-CEEC Business Council
On the morning of May 15, the 2023 Meeting of China Council for the China- Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Business Council was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and President of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Ren Hongbin emphasized the significance of the China-CEEC Business Council in implementing the outcomes of the China-CEEC Summit and promoting economic and trade exchanges between the two sides since its establishment in 2014. The China Council for the China-CEEC Business Council has worked to build a practical platform for enhanced communication and cooperation among business communities of different countries and has proactively offered its insights and strengths. This year marks the beginning of the second decade of China-CEEC cooperation. Thus, the CCPIT stands ready to work with other parties to seize the historical opportunities, create more high-quality platforms and provide more targeted services for matching and exchanges between China and CEEC business circles, improve and upgrade the work of the China Council, and open up new space for economic and trade cooperation. In addition, Ren welcomes the participation of members of the China-CEEC Business Council in the first China International Supply Chain Expo, scheduled to be held in Beijing in November this year.
During the meeting, Ren Hongbin awarded plaques to a newly-appointed President of the China Council, Li Dongsheng, who is the Chairman of the TCL Technology Group Corporation, and to a newly-appointed Vice President of the China Council, Chen Youxiang, who is the President of Ninhua Group Co., Ltd. Members of the Committee of Experts of the China Council discussed the challenges and opportunities faced by China and Central and Eastern European countries in cooperation.
This meeting, hosted by the CCOIC, welcomed around 120 people, including Lu Shan, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, representatives from enterprise members of the China Council, as well as experts and scholars.
