In 2022, the International Organization of the World Internet Conference was officially established, with members covering more than 20 countries on 6 continents, including more than 100 institutions, organizations, enterprises, and individuals. Digital technology continues to empower China's foreign trade innovation and development. In 2022, the import and export scale of China's cross-border e-commerce reached 2.11 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, 2.1 percentage points higher than the growth rate of foreign trade during the same period, and the scale has grown nearly 10 times in five years.165 comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones have been established nationwide, covering 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government). The service ecology in the area continues to improve. As of the end of 2022, there are over 690 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks in the area, with over 3500 "entrepreneurship and innovation" activities held, over 5000 training sessions, and over 170000 trainees. Business model innovation is accelerating, and major cross-border e-commerce platforms are vigorously developing live streaming e-commerce, social e-commerce, and other businesses, accelerating the pace of going overseas. The number of independent stations exceeds 200000, which has become an important channel for Chinese enterprises and products to go overseas.
Overseas warehouses have been developed from scratch and from small to large, with a global service scope. As of the end of 2022, Chinese enterprises have built and operated over 2400 overseas warehouses, covering an area of over 25 million square meters.
The openness and cooperation of digital trade continue to deepen.
