CDB Achieves Full Release of Santander (Brazil) Bank's $600 million Credit Project
Recently, CDB has fully disbursed a $600 million credit project to Santander (Brazil), supporting key projects in the field of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) in Brazil. This is a specific measure taken by the CDB service to implement the consensus reached during the meeting between the heads of state of China and Pakistan, and also the first land project under the $1 billion special loan for China development cooperation undertaken by the Development.
This cooperation focuses on the application of new concepts and methods such as economic, social and environmental assessment, and supports Brazilian enterprises in renewable energy ,such as wind and solar energy, hydropower, landfill and gas capture, clean energy and other fields helps China and Brazil deepen their cooperation in the field of sustainable development, brings more "green energy" from China to Brazil, and also brings new development opportunities and more employment opportunities to the Brazilian people.
The CDB attaches great importance to financial cooperation with Brazil and Latin America, and conducts extensive cooperation with financial institutions in Brazil and relevant Latin American countries within the framework of multilateral financial cooperation mechanisms such as the BRICS Cooperation Mechanism and the China Latin America Development Financial Cooperation Mechanism, focusing on energy, manufacturing, financial cooperation, agriculture, and other fields.
