Chinese Mainland's first 100 million ton gas supply terminal was born in Shenzhen
On June 2, CNOOC Dapeng LNG Terminal supplied 100 million tons of gas to the downstream, becoming the first terminal in the Chinese Mainland to supply more than 100 million tons of gas, which is also a historic moment in the development of China's imported LNG industry.
Since its production in 2006, Dapeng LNG has consistently maintained stable and reliable gas supply to the six cities with the largest economic aggregate in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, and Hong Kong, without interruption; The cumulative gas supply accounts for about 40% of the natural gas consumption in Guangdong Province during the same period, and about 30% of the natural gas consumption in Hong Kong during the same period. It is a major natural gas supply enterprise in the Guangdong Hong Kong region.
The use of natural gas also brings significant environmental benefits.100million tons of LNG is equivalent to approximately 140 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Compared to using coal with the same calorific value, it can reduce carbon dioxide by 350 million tons, sulfur dioxide by 3.2 million tons, and smoke by 1.67 million tons, equivalent to the environmental utility of planting 700 million trees.
At present, the high temperature in the Guangdong region continues to rise, staying above 35 ℃ for many days, and the demand for electricity and gas among residents has skyrocketed. Dapeng LNG supplied a total of 865000 tons of gas in May, approaching the highest level in history for the same period. On May 31 alone, its gas supplies reached 37400 tons, breaking a new record for a single day of gas supply.
The Dapeng LNG business team closely tracks the changes in upstream and downstream weather and the seller's production capacity on a daily basis, promptly communicates with the seller, the ship owner, and relevant parties to prepare response plans, and fully coordinates the loading of Phase I goods as planned, and ensures the safe transportation of ships. At the same time, it actively maintains close communication with the four shareholders of TUA business to coordinate the increase in cargo. Among them, CNOOC has added two ships of gas from May to June, totaling approximately 130000 tons, ensuring resource supply.
According to statistics, in May, Dapeng LNG received and unloaded a total of 11 ships of gas, totaling 785000 tons, approaching the highest level in history during the same period. According to the shipping schedule, Dapeng LNG will efficiently pick up and unload 7 ships of LNG within 14 days from May 26 to June 8 at a frequency of 2 days to 1 ship, adding "confidence" to the peak summer season in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
