In terms of technological innovation, the project has developed a new type of low energy consumption, high capacity, and high stability ter composite absorbent, which reduces the regeneration heat consumption by more than 35% compared to traditional absorbers; We have developed a small tooth tip angle carbon capture filler, which reduces the mass transfer efficiency by 15% -30% compared to conventional fillers and increases the mass transfer efficiency by 10% -15%; Optimized the internal distributor of the tower, reduced the pressure drop of the absorption tower by 5-10%, and increased the mass transfer efficiency of the entire tower by 5-10%; We have developed a new dry amine recovery device, which reduces amine loss by 30% compared to traditional devices.
In terms of process innovation, the post installation design of the water washing tower is adopted to solve safety hazards such as high humidity at the inlet of the induced draft fan in previous projects; adopting a circulating water direct current water supply cooling system to reduce investment and capture electricity consumption of approximately 6 kWh/ton of carbon dioxide; Adopting the exhaust steam of the turbine driven induced draft fan of the power generation unit in the factory as the main steam source for regeneration steam, achieving energy consumption coupling and reducing overall energy consumption; Adopting interstage cooling and split flow desorption processes to reduce regeneration heat consumption; Adopting the process of regenerating steam heat and recovering it to the condensate of the main engine to reduce heat loss.
In terms of equipment optimization, the project selects variable frequency adjustable centrifugal induced draft fans, with an economical adjustable load range of 60% -100%, and can save 20% of energy under variable operating conditions; a variable frequency adjustable centrifugal compressor is selected. with 40% -100% load adjustable capacity, saving 30% of energy compared with the traditional screw compressor; adopting a new type of material plate heat exchanger, it has the characteristics of resistance, anti -fouling, and easy cleaning. The equipment maintenance time can be shortened by 2-3 days. At the same time, optimizing the configuration of storage tanks and constructing two 400 cubic meter food grade storage tanks will make the system operation more flexible and controllable.

During that time, Xu Dong led his research and development team to continuously adjust the ratio scheme of absorbers in order to find the optimal solution that they had been dreaming of. And they tested this adjustment over 1000 times.
