2023 Meat Import Development Forum Commences as Genertec’s Green Supply Chain Industrial Base Project Settles in TEDA
The forum was jointly organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin sub-Council (CCPIT Tianjin), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hebei Sub-council (CCPIT Hebei), under the theme of “Focusing on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, Connecting Domestic and Overseas to Create a New Heights”. Approximately 500 guests, including representatives from countries such as Brazil, Spain, Russia, and Argentina, domestic leading enterprises in frozen food industry, and industry experts, gathered to discuss industry development trends, explore new opportunities in meat import, processing, finance, and cold chain logistics, promote the integration of resources among the three regions, and drive the vigorous development of port economy.
The forum featured multiple keynote speeches and announced the official launch of the BRICS Food Trade Sub-Council preparation. During the forum, several cooperation agreements were signed between organizations, enterprises, and institutions from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. Among them, CCPIT Tianjin, CCPIT Beijing and CCPIT Hebei signed a collaborative development action plan.
During the forum, TEDA Administrative Commission signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China General Technology (Group) International Holding Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genertec. The two parties will collaborate in multiple areas, including carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, new energy, trade business, and bidding procurement. Simultaneously, Genertec’s Green Supply Chain Industrial Base project will be established in TEDA. The base will comprehensively utilize multiple energy sources including LNG cold energy, solar energy, biomass energy, and hydrogen energy, to create an energy cascade utilization form that combines multiple complementary energies and energy storage, building a green and low-carbon supply chain base. Once the project is completed, it will further enrich the business format of TEDA, providing high-value-added products and services for Tianjin’s port trade and processing trade, and supporting the high-quality integration of Tianjin Port and Tianjin Municipality.
