China-Richem's Chemical New Materials Innovation Platform Base Project Settles in TEDA
Recently, China Chemical Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the “China-Richem”) and TEDA Administrative Commission signed an investment cooperation agreement. The plan is to invest approximately 1 billion yuan to construct the China-Richem’s Chemical New Materials Innovation Platform Base in the Nangang Industrial Zone of TEDA. This project aims to create a comprehensive innovation platform that integrates catalyst production, pilot amplification experiment, and technology commercialization. The first phase of the project will involve an investment of about 593 million yuan, mainly focusing on the construction of infrastructure for the innovation platform and various catalyst production facilities.
China-Richem is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation Ltd. (hereinafter abbreviated as “CNCEC”). It has formed a whole process of R&D capability from laboratory pilot research to pilot amplification research and industrial application research. This project, signed in collaboration with TEDA, marks another central SOE pilot-scale experiment base following the establishment of similar bases by Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Research Institute of China National Offshore Oil Corporation. Currently, the Nangang Industrial Zone has formed a chemical industry and chemical new materials commercialization base in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region with a total investment of over 6 billion yuan, comprising 8 pilot-scale experiment base projects.
