Foreign Talent Praises TEDA for its Services
In order to enhance the scientific, standardized, digital, and international management and services for foreign talents in the region, TEDA recently organized the third phase of online pre-employment training for foreign talents this year. This training program, conducted in English, Japanese, and Korean languages, aims to meet the diverse needs of foreign talents in the region.
As international exchanges deepen, the recruitment and services for international talents have become an integral part of TEDA's current talent strategy. Regarding matters such as work permits for foreigners coming to China and immigration management, TEDA utilizes the Binhai New Area Immigration Service Center's “Three Permits Joint Processing (Foreigner's Work Permit, Residence Permit for Foreigner and Foreigner's Permanent Residence Card)” at the foreign experts desk as a platform to provide efficient and convenient one-stop services. From January to September this year, the foreign experts desk has handled a total of 1,822 related applications for foreign nationals coming to work in China, serving 437 newly introduced foreign talents in the Binhai New Area.
For enterprises employing foreign talents in the region, TEDA offers precise services. Relevant departments take proactive steps, reach out to enterprises to understand the employment of foreign staff, and provide training for foreign talents. The training program covers various aspects, including an introduction to Tianjin's urban overview, history, culture, and local customs; laws and regulations related to the work and residence of foreigners in Tianjin and China; relevant management requirements and services of departments in charge of foreign talent affairs; and tips for the lives and work of foreign talents in Tianjin. This approach aims to facilitate foreign talents' deeper understanding, integration, participation, and contribution to the regional economic and social development.
Since the beginning of this year, TEDA has provided pre-employment training for nearly 300 foreign employees from 116 enterprises and institutions, including TEDA Maple Leaf International School, Toyota Boshoku, and Aisin (Tianjin) Body Parts, among others.
