SSE Companies Gear up for Group Roadshows Themed "Serving People's Livelihood" and "Central State-owned Enterprise ESG"
In earnest adherence to the strategic deployment of the CPC Central Committee on invigorating the capital market and boosting investor confidence, and in order to continually facilitate synergy among investment, financing, and trading, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) recently organized a group roadshow for more than 50 companies from the SSE Main Board and the STAR Market, showcasing the high-quality development of these companies. This week, following the first and second roadshows themed "Industry Leadership" and "Digital Economy", the subsequent group roadshows themed "Serving People's Livelihood" and "Central State-owned Enterprise ESG" are set to continue, scheduled for October 24 and October 26, 2023, respectively. These roadshows will provide a richer perspective on how SSE-listed companies are applying the new development philosophy, building a new development pattern, and achieving high-quality development.
As a hub serving the national economy, the SSE convenes leading companies and innovation benchmarks from all industries and sectors. In the field of livelihood services, relevant listed companies are striving to leverage their product strengths, providing robust support for meeting the growing expectation of the people for a better life and ensuring the smooth operation of the national economy. In the roadshow themed "Serving People's Livelihood", executives from more than ten companies, including Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd., Wuxi Apptec Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd., will take the stage in turn. They will detail the new highlights of the companies in stabilizing people's livelihoods and encouraging consumption through innovative product and service upgrades. Listed central state-owned enterprises have consistently served as a ballast stone and stabilizer of the market, upholding strong standards in both operation and governance. Actively implementing the ESG philosophy has become a common practice for high-quality development among central state-owned enterprises listed on the SSE. In 2022, out of more than 260 central state-owned enterprises listed on the SSE, over 210 disclosed their ESG reports, sustainable development reports, or social responsibility reports, while nearly 230 disclosed the establishment of environmental protection mechanisms, accounting for approximately eighty percent and ninety percent, respectively. In the roadshow themed "Central State-owned Enterprise ESG", representatives from central state-owned enterprises including the "Three Barrels of Oil" (PetroChina Company Limited, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, and CNOOC Limited), the "Three Telecom Operators" (China Telecom Corporation Limited, China Mobile Limited, China United Network Communications Limited), and China Shenhua Energy Company Limited, will vividly demonstrate the enterprises' notable progress in promoting sustainable development, fulfilling social responsibilities, and optimizing modern governance, while also explaining their production and business operations.
These group roadshows will be held in a graphical interactive (network interactive) format. Investors can log on to the SSE Roadshow Center (http://roadshow.sseinfo.com) to ask questions and interact online. We welcome attention and participation from all investors!
