Tianjin's First Offshore Wind Power Project Sees New Progress
On January 10, the first unit of the China Three Gorges Renewables Group Tianjin Nangang Offshore Wind Power Demo Project was successfully installed in TEDA. This project marks the first offshore wind power initiative in Tianjin, featuring the deployment of 24 units of 8.5-megawatt semi-direct-drive offshore wind turbines. Developed independently by Dongfang Wind Power, a company in TEDA, these wind turbines incorporate advanced technologies, ensuring stable and reliable structures that are easy to maintain. With the option to use long-blade wind rotors with a diameter of up to 232 meters, these turbines exhibit excellent power generation performance.
After completion, the project is expected to generate approximately 600 million kilowatt-hours annually, effectively contributing to the optimization of the energy structure in TEDA and injecting momentum into regional green and low-carbon development.
