The Second Korea-Japan Finance Deputies' Dialogue
Deputy Minister for International Affairs of KMOEF, Ji-Young Choi and Vice Minister for International Affairs of JMOEF, Kanda Masato, held the second Korea-Japan Finance Deputies’ Dialogue at the Japanese Ministry of Finance in Tokyo on March 8.
The meeting was held to maintain the cooperation between the two countries' financial authorities following the 1st Korea-Japan Finance Deputies’ Dialogue, 8th Korea-Japan Finance Ministers’ Dialogue, and the signing of a $10 billion currency swap agreement.
In this dialogue, both sides discussed the global economy and financial market trends, major issues in the multilateral arena (G20, ASEAN+3), and the upcoming 9th Korea-Japan Finance Ministers’ Dialogue, which require exchange of views and cooperation between the finance ministries. The two countries exchanged views on the relevant issues based on their amicable relationship.
In addition, Deputy Minister Choi and Vice Minister Kanda agreed to continue close cooperation not only at the high level but also at the working level. They also agreed to hold the next dialogue in Korea.
