Beijing, Tianjin Collaborate to Build Electronic Chemical Base in Nangang Industrial Zone
Recently, at the 2024 Work Conference of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Coordination Special Working Group, TEDA’s Nangang Industrial Zone was designated as the Beijing-Tianjin Electronic Chemical Base. The Base, planned to cover an area of 1 square kilometer, will focus on developing an industrial cluster of electronic chemical integrating R&D, production, logistics and storage. It aims to evolve into a comprehensive electronic chemicals supporting service base rooted in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and serve the development of the integrated circuit industry in northern China. The Base will further contribute to the construction of integrated circuit advanced manufacturing industry clusters in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Nangang Industrial Zone is a main gathering place for the green petrochemical industries in Tianjin. It focuses on four major sectors: special olefin derivatives, advanced chemical materials, high-end fine and specialty chemicals, and high-end productive services. There are also ten sub-sectors in Nangang Industrial Zone including high-performance engineering resins and composites, electronic information materials, and electronic chemicals. Over 140 projects have been introduced with a total investment exceeding 180 billion yuan. In the field of electronic chemicals, projects such as Capchem Electronic Materials and Linggas Special Gases have successively started production, laying a solid foundation for the formation of the Beijing-Tianjin Electronic Chemical Base.
