LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE CELEBRATES THE LAUNCH OF THE CORPORATE REPORTING AWARDS
The awards, which are open to all UK-based organisations or those listed on the London Stock Exchange, relaunched in their current format two years ago to celebrate the evolution of the annual report.
Once viewed as purely as providing a record of financial performance and an update on strategy, the annual report now offers a more comprehensive insight into a company’s overall impact on society, the communities in which it operates and the environment.
It is an opportunity for an organisation to engage with key stakeholders and tell its story in a clear and accessible way. Our judges are looking for a compelling narrative that provides an insight into the story behind the numbers while following best practice guidelines.
The Corporate Reporting Awards also recognise that the annual report is now just one part of a suite of reporting tools and platforms. There are awards for sustainability, ESG and social impact reports, as well as capital market days and innovative ways of conveying financial results to different audiences.
Helen Dunne, editor of CorpComms Magazine, which spun the Corporate Reporting Awards out of its long-established CorpComms Awards, says:
“Past winners have fulfilled their regulatory requirements while retaining a distinct brand personality through design, case studies and online content”.
The Corporate Reporting Awards 2024 close to entries on 19 July.
