Siam Commercial Bank and depa Launch 2nd "Digital Smart Manufacturing: AI for Sustainability" Course
Siam Commercial Bank, in collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), recently hosted the opening ceremony of the "2nd Digital Smart Manufacturing: AI for Sustainability" course. This intensive training program focuses on cost reduction strategies using AI technology, aimed at entrepreneurs in the manufacturing industry. The course promotes innovation by integrating robots to enhance every step of the production process, alongside digital transformation and AI-driven organizational development. This initiative supports environmentally friendly business practices in line with the ESG concept, helping SMEs achieve sustainable income growth. The event was attended by Mr. Kris Chantanotoke, Chief Executive Officer, and Mrs. Pikun Srimahunt, Senior Executive Vice President & Chief SME Banking Officer at Siam Commercial Bank, as well as Dr. Chinawut Chinaprayoon, Executive Vice President at depa.
This course was honored by the participation of Dr. Suriya Lertwattanapongchai, Lean Digital Expert at BMG Thailand Co., Ltd., and Mr. Kulawachara Bhurichayawarodom, Chief Executive Officer of The Original Farm Co., Ltd., who served as joint course directors. They provided guidelines to help entrepreneurs from 54 participating companies leverage AI to reduce costs and manage energy use efficiently.
The “Digital Smart Manufacturing” course includes six weeks of training and workshops. During this period, SMEs will have the opportunity to interact with government partners and participate in study tours focused on digital technology and sustainable business practices. The initiative introduces robots and software systems to enhance product quality and efficiency, along with renewable energy solutions like solar energy from solar farms. Additionally, participants will learn about electricity production from thermal energy at Siam Cement Company in Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi Province.
