New heads of division appointments in Banking Supervision department
The Banking Supervision department of the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) has been restructured, and heads of division have been appointed in three new divisions. The heads of division will start in their new positions on 1 September 2024. In the new organisation, one division will focus on the supervision of large banks under the direct supervision of the ECB and another division on the supervision of domestic banks under the direct supervision of the national supervisor.
Sari Lindqvist MSc(Econ) has been appointed Head of the Division, Large Banks. She is currently working as Head of the Division, Off-Site Supervision 2. Lindqvist joined the FIN-FSA in 2018 from Nordea, where she had long experience of supervisor and expert positions in risk management and capital adequacy reporting.
Thomas Petroff MSc(Econ) has been appointed Head of the Division, Domestic Banks and Risk Areas. He has been working as chief banking supervisor in the Off-Site Supervision 1 division since 2021 and is currently also acting head of the division. Petroff joined the FIN-FSA in 2017 as a risk specialist and before that he worked at Nordea, among others, in various expert positions.
Anne Puustelli PhD has been appointed Head of the Division, On-Site Inspection and Internal Models. She has been working as Head of Division, Banking Risk Areas since 2021 and is currently also acting Head of Division, On-Site Inspection and Models. Puustelli joined the FIN-FSA in 2019 as chief banking supervisor and before that worked at OP Group in risk management expert positions.
