Kyrgyz Stock Exchange included S&P Global Ratings in the list of verifiers
The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange expanded the list of verifiers by including S&P Global Ratings in the list of verifiers (Second Party Opinion) for independent assessment of sustainable finance instruments. The assessment (Second Party Opinion) of sustainable instruments (bonds) is a necessary procedure, thus confirming the targeting of financing obtained through the issuance of bonds for sustainable development projects, namely, environmental, climatic, social and other projects related to sustainable development.
The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals and as a trading platform strives to create the necessary conditions for issuers of sustainable financing instruments such as green, social and other types of sustainable bonds to enter the market. As part of the work of the Sustainable Development Sector of the KSE and in accordance with the listing rules, the KSE forms a list of authoritative expert organisations with internationally recognised methodologies and expertise in the assessment of sustainable financing instruments.
The list of KSE verifiers may include international financial institutions, consulting organisations that perform independent assessment in accordance with the Principles for Green and Social Bonds or other bonds issued to finance sustainable development projects. As well as organisations holding a certificate of accreditation from the Climate Bonds Initiative as an approved international verifier. In addition, international financial organisations, international and national audit and consulting organisations performing independent assessment in accordance with the Principles of Green and Social Bonds can become KFB verifiers.
S&P Global Ratings is an American rating agency and a division of S&P Global, which publishes financial research and analysis of stocks, bonds and commodities. S&P is considered the largest of the "Big Three" credit rating agencies, which also includes Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings.
