Auto Chip Joint Laboratory Opens in TEDA
The CATARC-OmniVision North China Joint Laboratory of Automotive Chip held its grand opening in TEDA. The laboratory was jointly established by CATARC (China Automotive Technology and Research Center) Software Testing (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and OmniVision North China IC Ltd.
It will primarily carry out the research of automotive chip testing systems with focus on automotive chip interoperability testing, electromagnetic compatibility verification, ATE (automatic test equipment) automation testing, reliability, safety verification, etc. to create a collaborative and innovative R&D mode. The laboratory will continue to build capabilities in the safety, compatibility, and consistency of automotive chips, promoting technological advancements and on-board applications in the self-controllable testing of chips for intelligent connected vehicles.
Since the establishment of China Automotive Chip Standard Testing and Certification Alliance, TEDA has been focusing on the innovation and development of automotive-grade chips, developing chips with self-controllable and interconnected capabilities as a bridge between vehicle manufacturers and chip companies. In the future, TEDA will take the innovative results of the joint laboratory as an opportunity to further deepen the enterprise collaboration mechanism, broaden channels for collaboration, and accelerate the system improvement, ecosystem construction, and application deployment of the automotive chip industry.
