Mulim announces the third round of the Smart GCC Investor Award, with prizes exceeding one million Saudi riyals and 44 winners in four tracks
The Gulf Investment Awareness Program, “Mulim”, announced the launch of the third round of the Smart GCC Investor Award in September 2024. The award targets GCC citizens and residents, with prizes exceeding one million Saudi riyals.
The competent committee will continue to receive applications until the end of February 2025. The award aims to create a competitive atmosphere—whether among university and school students or GCC citizens and residents—in four tracks: videography, photography, drawing, and writing. Eleven winners will be selected from each track, totaling 44. The award is intended to raise awareness about the importance of savings and investment and how to avoid financial scams, in addition to promoting financial literacy among the public to help them make better financial plans and informed financial decisions, thus bringing them financial stability and helping them achieve their financial goals.
The award aims to promote financial literacy by spreading awareness of the skills needed and how to best use financial resources.
The committee overseeing the award includes subject-matter experts from across the GCC who will sort applications and select winners. The venue and date of the award ceremony will be announced later.
The earlier rounds of the award were a great success as they saw record participation, surpassing 47,000 applications. The prize offered earlier went up from 275,000 riyals to one million riyals. One more track was also added to the three previous tracks (videography, photography, and drawing). The second round saw 36 winners compared to 9 winners in the first round.
It is worth noting that Mulim was launched under the umbrella of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council. It brings together GCC securities authorities and aims to enhance awareness of financial transactions and investment in capital markets by launching campaigns and organizing awareness-raising events.
Participants can upload their applications to the dedicated webpage on Mulim’s website https://mulimgcc.org/ and view the participation terms and conditions by visiting https://mulimgcc.org/smart-khaliji-investor-award.
