TISCO CEO Wins Best CEO Award (SET) and BBIK CEO Wins Best CEO Award (mai) and Young Rising Star CEO Award, Along with 30 Companies as Sustainability Role Models in the 2024 SET Awards
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), in collaboration with Money & Banking Magazine, has announced the recipients of the 2024 SET Awards. In the Business Excellence category, Sakchai Peechapat, CEO of TISCO Financial Group Public Company Limited (TISCO), won the Best CEO Award for the SET board, while Pachara Aryakarnkul, CEO of Bluebik Group Public Company Limited (BBIK), received two major awards: the Best CEO Award for the mai board and the Young Rising Star CEO Award.
Business Excellence Awards
Five companies were honored with the SET Awards of Honor in the Business Excellence category. Kiatnakin Phatra Securities Public Company Limited (KKPS) won the award for institutional investor services, Yuanta Securities (Thailand) Company Limited (YUANTA) for retail investor services, and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) for both Investor Relations and Innovative Company Awards. Meanwhile, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) and SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP) received the SET Awards of Honor in the Innovative Company category.
Sustainability Excellence Awards
In the Sustainability Excellence category, 30 listed companies were recognized as sustainability role models, including six companies that have consistently demonstrated excellence for three consecutive years and received the Sustainability Awards of Honor. These companies are Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (AMATA), Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP), Kasikornbank Public Company Limited (KBANK), PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC), and The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCC).
Asda Kongkirati, Member and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, expressed congratulations to all companies recognized in the 2024 SET Awards, highlighting their excellence in both business performance and sustainability. He emphasized that these companies play a crucial role in elevating the Thai capital market towards sustainable growth and serve as role models for other organizations. The awarded CEOs have led their organizations through a dynamic environment, inspiring continuous organizational improvement, innovation, and responsible performance, while taking into account environmental, social, and governance factors.
Santi Viriyarangsarit, Editor-in-Chief of Money & Banking Magazine, co-founder of the SET Awards, and a member of the SET Awards judging committee, noted that the SET Awards recognize companies that excel in various domains. This year, the number of recipients of the SET Awards of Honor has increased across multiple award categories, reflecting a commitment to maintaining excellence. Additionally, four companies received the newly introduced Supply Chain Management Awards, underscoring their outstanding sustainable supply chain management capabilities, which contribute positively to Thailand’s economic growth and development.
Judging Committee
The judging committee for the 2024 SET Awards included Chaiwat Wibulswasdi, Seri Jintarensiri, Santi Viriyarangsarit, Yuth Vorachattarn, Pattariya Benjapolchai, Teeranant Srihong, Asda Kongkirati, and Sonpol Tulyasathien, with Amnuy Jiramahaphoka serving as committee secretary.
This year's SET Awards comprised two main categories: Business Excellence and Sustainability Excellence. In the Business Excellence category, a total of 27 companies received awards, including 15 SET-listed companies (including Real Estate Investment Trusts), six mai-listed companies, five securities companies (including financial advisors), and one asset management company. Among these, five companies achieved SET Awards of Honor for maintaining excellence for three or more consecutive years.
In the Sustainability Excellence category, a total of 30 companies were recognized, with one company receiving two awards. Six companies maintained consistent excellence and received the Sustainability Awards of Honor, four companies received the Best Sustainability Awards, ten companies received the Highly Commended Sustainability Awards, and seven companies received the Commended Sustainability Awards. Additionally, four companies received the Supply Chain Management Awards, with three recognized as Highly Commended and one as Commended.
