9th Edition of Cairo WoodShow Launches under the patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry
Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt,29 November 2024: The 9th edition of the Cairo WoodShow was inaugurated by General Sherif Al Mawardy, Chairman of Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA), at the Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Center in Nasr City.
Continuing till the 30thof November, the event will host over 600 exhibitors from 76 countries worldwide.
Present at the inauguration ceremony were, Eng. Tarek Habashy Chairman of Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry (CWWFI); Eng. Ehab Deryas Chairman of the Egyptian Furniture Export Council; Walid Farghal, Director General of Strategic Exhibitions and Conferences; and Hossam Kobaisi, Director General of Strategic Exhibitions and Conferences in Egypt. The opening witnessed a number of key buyers, specialists, major industry players, and local & international media
As part of the "International Wood and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition" series the Cairo WoodShow, organized by Strategic Exhibitions and Conferences under the patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry is regarded as the leading specialized commercial platform in the wood sector for North Africa. The exhibition opens doors of opportunities to connect with top experts, specialists, producers, and suppliers in the wood and machinery industry from across the globe.
As the hosting nation of North Africa, Egypt's position as a leading trade destination in wood production and woodworking technologies, encourages foreign direct investments, fosters new partnerships, and bolsters the export of Egyptian wood products, enabling them to compete strongly in global markets. The opening crowd were privy to the exhibition's various sections, exploring international pavilions where representatives showcased the latest products, investment opportunities, and diverse experiences in the wood market.

The response from the exhibitors were positive, with many confirming their attendance at the next edition in Dubai, with several expressing their interest in reserving larger spaces. The quality of the attendees was a key highlight, with government representatives, international institutions, and industry experts being present, which facilitated the exchange of expertise, opinions, and the establishment of partnerships, as well as the exploration of new opportunities within the global wood industry.
The 6th edition of the Cairo International Furniture and Furniture Components Exhibition is happening alongside the Cairo WoodShow, featuring furniture technologies, accessories, and innovative brands in the field. Visitors are welcome to explore the latest models in furniture, furnishings, decorations, semi-finished products, furniture fabrics, and upholstery materials.
Strategic Exhibitions and Conferences also organize other editions within the "International Wood and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition" series. This includes the 21st edition of the Dubai WoodShow set to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 14 to 16, 2025, as well as the 2nd edition of the Saudi WoodShow in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from September 7 to 9, 2025.
The exhibition is open to visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Halls 3, 4, and 5).
