The Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania have Signed an Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation
In order to enhance the strategic partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and Tanzania, they have signed an agreement on "the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income" today in Muscat.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman by H.E. Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority, and on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania by H.E. Dr. Mwigolo Lamek Nchemba, Minister of Finance and Planning of Tanzania.
This agreement aims to provide an attractive investment environment, protect investors from the imposition of double taxes, and enhance transparency in financial transactions between the two countries. This agreement is expected to contribute in strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Tanzania, as well as opening new horizons for joint investment.
