Qianhai recently organized a high-level exchange forum in Hong Kong, bringing together representatives from the Finnish Consulate-General in Hong Kong and the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), alongside local stakeholders. The event aimed to showcase Qianhai’s development advantages, explore Sino-Finnish technology collaboration opportunities, and strengthen connections between the Greater Bay Area and Nordic innovation resources.

The forum was co-hosted by Qianhai International Liaison and Investment Services Co., Ltd. (“Qianhai International”) and Qianhai DreamWorks Operations Co., Ltd. (“Qianhai DreamWorks”). Qianhai International, a Hong Kong-based window company of the Qianhai Administration, implements the strategy of leveraging Hong Kong as a bridge to serve Mainland China and connect with the global market. It also serves as the Hong Kong hub for Qianhai DreamWorks.

During the forum, participants highlighted the complementary strengths of China and Finland in technology and innovation. The EK delegation shared strategic plans and outlined Finland’s expertise and collaboration opportunities in the biopharmaceutical and clean energy sectors. Qianhai DreamWorks presented its service ecosystem and collaboration pathways, demonstrating its role as a cross-border entrepreneurship hub.

In the corporate showcase session, Qianhai-based Yishan Medical demonstrated its bio-signal processing and biosensor technologies, while Shenzhen Cell Valley presented its one-stop CRO/CDMO platform for cell and gene therapy, including clinical translation capabilities. Yli Hakamis from the EK delegation emphasized that Finnish companies require reliable platforms to support technology collaboration with China, and discussed the optimal pathways for Finnish SMEs to enter the Greater Bay Area. Yishan Medical highlighted that Qianhai DreamWorks, leveraging Qianhai policies and dual-platform resources in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, offers an ideal landing point for Finnish enterprises.

This forum reflects Qianhai DreamWorks' long-term commitment to cross-border innovation. The team previously conducted visits to Finnish technology companies, initiated joint innovation activities, and invited Finnish enterprises to Hong Kong for exchanges, gradually building a foundation of trust and collaboration.

From proactively establishing overseas connections, to inviting international companies to deepen understanding, and finally mobilizing government and enterprise resources for concrete cooperation, Qianhai continues to advance its global engagement strategy. The forum successfully linked Finnish government and business resources and showcased the vibrancy of Qianhai's cross-border entrepreneurial ecosystem, supporting Greater Bay Area innovation with a global perspective.
