Asian Insurance Forum 2024 to chart a new path amidst global volatility
The Asian Insurance Forum (AIF) hosted by the Insurance Authority (IA) will take place on 10 December 2024 (i.e. the coming Tuesday), with over 20 prominent speakers and industry heavyweights sharing insights on the increasingly intricate landscape in global financial markets.
The uncertainty and volatility faced by businesses is unprecedented as the impact of a sustained high interest rate environment, concerns about debt sustainability and rising geopolitical tensions are compounded by climate change and cybersecurity threats. Despite these challenges, the insurance industry has displayed exceptional resilience and reaffirmed its key role as a pillar underpinning the success of Hong Kong as an international financial centre. These qualities also echo strongly with AIF's theme “Rising to the Challenge amidst Global Volatility” and the design concept of a jade ring that symbolises harmony, protection and eternity in the oriental culture.
In addition to an opening address by the Chief Executive and special remarks from the Deputy Financial Secretary, you will be able to hear keynote speeches delivered by Secretary General of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors and a senior official of the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Moreover, we have arranged three panel discussions on topical issues including supervisory priorities from a global perspective, bolstering the headquarters economy and insurance solutions in wealth management. On top of that, how can you afford to miss a dialogue with the new leadership lineup in the IA?
Please do not hesitate anymore. Grab this last opportunity by visiting the event website at aif.ia.org.hk and register for attendance at the AIF.
